Microsoft Monthview Control 6 0 Excel 2010 Missing Persons
I am trying to add a calendar picker to Excel 2010. Everything I read online says that it is possible, you just need to use the ActiveX control 'Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0', and that it should be listed under Developer Tab -> Insert -> More Controls ->... But it's not listed.
I also tried downloading the Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2 6.0, but when I tried to add it to Excel using 'Register Custom...', it says 'Cannot register this control'.
Why this control is missing? and I can't add it?
Date Picker for Excel inserts a pop-up calendar into Microsoft Excel. It works like a drop-down calendar, offering a handy date selector. As long as the date picker app is running, it activates the pop-up calendar in all the Excel files you open. It does not require you to insert an additional control into any particular Excel. In case you already use Office 2010 and you do not have Calendar Control, you will see in your VBA Project References that Microsoft Calendar Control is missing (MANCA = MISSING) (In some versions. It worked perfectly at Windows 7 64-bit + Excel 2010 32-bit. When I moved my project to other PC with Windows 7 64-bit and Office 2013 32-bit it stopped working. Firstly there was class missing, so I registered Microsoft Windows Common Controls 2 6.0 (SP3) in syswow64 using regsvr32.exe command. This new ActiveX control is similar in function to the Calendar Control and has the advantage that it is installed with all versions of Microsoft Office. In Microsoft Office 2007 you have the choice of which ActiveX control to use but in Microsoft Office 2010 you must use the MonthView control as described in this tutorial.
